What you need to download and install before running ASP.NET Core MVC projects

Windows

SQL Server

• Download link: SQL Server Downloads | Microsoft. Scroll and find the developer version.

Visual studio community 2022

• Download link: https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/
• When you install Visual Studio 2022, remember to select
  • "ASP.NET and web development" workload, and,
  • "Data storage and processing" workload
• If you've already installed before and want to check whether you selected the workloads, you can do this:

  • Search for visual studio installer and open it.

  • Click on "Modify" button for the visual studio community 2022

  • Then you can check the workloads and install the necessary workloads.
